Some conversations give life and hope, while others drain us and leave us weary. In this evening's prayer and devotional, we reflect on the fact that words can heal, but they can also wound. We’ve all experienced heavy conversations that linger in our hearts—moments when emotions ran high, tempers flared, or resolution felt out of reach. Paul encouraged the believers in Colossae to let their speech be full of grace and seasoned with salt. This doesn’t mean ignoring difficult truths, but rather speaking them in love, aiming for healing instead of harm. Proverbs reminds us that words can pierce like swords, but the wise bring healing (Proverbs 12:18). Even when conversations are hard, God invites us to surrender them to Him. We can ask Him to soften hearts, mend relationships, and teach us how to let grace shape our words. Instead of replaying the dialogue in frustration, we can release it into His care and allow Him to redeem what feels broken. If you are carrying the weight of a heavy conversation tonight, know this: healing and peace are possible when we let God hold our words and hearts. Tonight’s Scripture: Colossians 4:6 “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”🔗 Read more on BibleStudyTools.com 🙏 Your Nightly Prayer God of grace,You know how complicated human relationships can be.
