Episode 426 - Song Debut: Songbird

In this episode, we introduce you to another song from the album, Promise and Power. As a youngster, I lived in a world of fear. I was the poster child for the kid who got bullied. As a result, I wore completely unfashionable clothing; I had ugly glasses, was a nerd, and skipped a grade—a recipe for disaster. Yet, I wanted to belong and be part of everything and had no idea how. That feeling of being an outcast accompanied me long into my adulthood. I spent most of my life trying to prove I was OK. Finally, at age 57, I wrote the book about myself. In doing so, I threw off the shackles of self-imposed prison and declared independence. The songbird came in and sat on my shoulder. Then I created a newness of life.
