Sometimes we have the idea that because were individuals or don’t have a lot of resources that there isn’t much we can do to make a difference. Nothing could be further from the truth. We are taught that no one will look out for us so we have to look out for ourselves and that everyone else takes a second position. The truth of our humanity is that as we choose to love and serve each other we are far better together. On top of that, a choice to love and serve those around us means that we grow as people and become more than we ever would be just serving ourselves.
