I am a 41 year old wife and mother. My husband Chad and Ihave been together since 2001. We have two beautiful daughters; Leigh is 19 and Brooke 18 years old. Leigh moved out last August, so it is just Chad, Brooke and myself at home. We have an American bulldog name, Lucy and a cat, Baby, in the house. Brooke has a goat named Biscuit and a FFA steer name Bullseye. We live in rural Missouri on 11 acres. With our original 2 acre yard, last August we bought the 9 acres of woods that touches our backyard. I love being outdoors and enjoy hunting, camping, side-by-side riding, boat riding, fishing and hiking; every chance I get. I also enjoy, putting in a vegetable garden, every spring. Now that we have the extra 9 acres, we started putting in a food plot for the deer and turkey. We have a game camera on our food plot and have been feeding the wildlife all winter. I have been working for the same Credit Union out of Rolla Missouri for 13 years this coming May. I love my job and am what we like to call “lifers”. My career plan to retire from Riverways. I have been struggling with my weight for 18 years after my last pregnancy. I have tried multiple plans and diets in the past. I could lose the weight, but never keep it off long term. Fasting is the only lifestyle that has worked. I lose weight like a turtle. Slow and steady wins the race. I have been fasting since August 14 of 2020. My doctor was the one who said I should give it a try in June of 2020. It took me a month and a half to ponder on the idea of fasting when not doing keto. “IF” quickly became the best way that I could have ever improved myself and my mindset. Before fasting I was not in the best place mentally, and had a few health issues. I had severe allergies with sinus infections, at least every other month, and had G.I. troubles. My G.I. troubles became severe enough that I thought I was having a gallbladder attack. Turns out it was not my gallbladder and after lots of testing I still don’t know what was wrong. I do know that fasting has greatly improved my G.I. and I no longer have allergies. The Fasting Highway News How you can support the podcast.
